Zoom Workplace 2026: Smarter Meetings, Spaces and Intelligent Calling
News | 23.10.2026
Hybrid teams lose time when meetings do not translate into clear next steps, when global participants struggle with language barriers, and when phone calls get misrouted. At Zoomtopia 2026, Zoom addressed these gaps with a wave of Zoom Workplace capabilities designed to make conversations richer, more inclusive and immediately actionable across Meetings, Phone, Spaces and Chat.
What was announced
Zoom introduced new Workplace features that span real-time translation, on-device AI for voice and video quality, hybrid room enhancements, and automation for inbound calls and messaging. The releases are staged from late 2026 through H1 2027.
Meetings that work for everyone
- Voice Translator: broadcasts translated audio to all participants; voice cloning preserves the speaker vocal identity (expected November 2026).
- Touch up my voice: on-device AI smooths voice and accents in real time without altering content (expected December 2026).
- Pose Correction: keeps participants looking engaged during quick glances at notes or a second screen (expected December 2026).
- High Frame Rate Screen Sharing: cinema-quality playback at Ultra HD 2160p via the Enhanced Media add-on (available now).
- Live Meeting Assist: real-time suggestions on engagement, pacing and clarity (expected Q1 2027).
- Meeting Icebreakers: AI-generated word clouds and quizzes natively inside the meeting (expected December 2026).
Smarter hybrid Spaces
- Zoom Signage: AI-powered on-brand signage with rule-based scheduling and live integrations with Power BI, Tableau and Workvivo TV (expected November 2026).
- Bring Your Own Zoom: QR-based sign-in to a personal Zoom account on a shared Zoom Room, with automatic data clearing on sign-out (expected December 2026).
- Cross-platform connectivity with Microsoft Teams: HDMI sharing, dual-display, 1080p video and participant rosters (expected H1 2027).
- Native Zoom Rooms on Cisco hardware: the AI-first Zoom Rooms experience on compatible Cisco devices (available now).
- Google Beam for Zoom: immersive 3D meetings co-developed with HP and Google (available now in the US, Canada, UK, France, Germany and Japan).
Intelligent Zoom Phone
- SMS for Virtual Agent Receptionist: automates answers on pricing, hours and availability (expected December 2026).
- Call Screening for Virtual Agent Receptionist: greets callers, gathers intent and routes calls that matter (expected December 2026).
- WhatsApp for Business Messaging Integration: WhatsApp conversations inside Zoom Phone with enterprise controls (available now).
Conversations are where everything begins, and we are focused on making them even better. The features we are developing today are aimed directly at closing the gap between what was discussed and what was actually delivered
Why this matters
For CIOs, CISOs and IT directors, these updates reduce friction across the collaboration stack and shrink the gap between discussion and delivery. Voice Translator and Touch up my voice remove language and accent barriers for distributed teams. Bring Your Own Zoom and native Zoom Rooms on Cisco hardware protect existing endpoint investments while standardizing on an AI-first meeting experience. For procurement leaders, Virtual Agent Receptionist and WhatsApp integration consolidate inbound channels into Zoom Phone, lowering the need for separate contact-center tooling for routine inquiries.
