What's New from Dassault Systèmes: Breakthroughs in Medicine, Manufacturing Automation, and Investing in Youth
News | 10.03.2025
Dassault Systèmes remains committed to driving innovation across multiple sectors, including education, healthcare, and manufacturing. As an authorized distributor, Softprom has summarised the key takeaways from 3DEXPERIENCE World — the annual event for users of the SOLIDWORKS and 3DEXPERIENCE platforms.
SOLIDWORKS SkillForce: Investing in the Future of Engineering
Dassault Systèmes has launched the global SOLIDWORKS SkillForce initiative, which provides free SOLIDWORKS licenses to students who have earned CSWA certification and are participating in internship programs. This initiative helps bridge the gap between education and industry by giving young professionals hands-on experience with professional software that is critical to their future career growth. The SOLIDWORKS SkillForce initiative officially launches on 15 April.
Living Heart Project: AI-based Virtual Twins
Dassault Systèmes is advancing the Living Heart Project by incorporating AI to create more realistic virtual twins of the human heart. Efforts are currently focused on creating highly specialized models that can adapt to tissue characteristics, structural variations, etc. With an extensive case base of real patient collaborations and a deep understanding of human physiology, thousands of virtual patient twins are being created to serve as a reliable training dataset for generative AI. This technology has enormous potential for medical research, allowing doctors and scientists to conduct experiments in a safe virtual environment without the need for human or animal testing. This approach is expected to simplify the development of medical devices, accelerate testing and speed up the approval of new treatments.
Joint Venture with KUKA: Strengthening Automation in Manufacturing
Dassault Systèmes and KUKA have announced a joint venture to develop comprehensive robotics and automation solutions for manufacturing. The Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE platform will be integrated into the KUKA mosaixx ecosystem. This will provide easier access to virtual twin technology, enhance collaboration, and improve efficiency and adaptability in manufacturing. Global demand for industrial robots is growing, with the US market alone valued at $16.5 billion. Through this partnership, Dassault Systèmes and KUKA aim to provide automation solutions for various manufacturing sectors.
