Use Nano Banana to edit images in Google Slides and Vids

News | 29.09.2025

Google is upgrading Slides and Vids to the latest image editing model, Nano Banana. Nano Banana brings improved quality to image editing to make it easier to bring your ideas to life.

Additionally, Google is launching an option for users to edit images using custom prompts.

For example, you could ask Gemini to “Place this product in a Kyiv subway station,” and then add it to your slide or video.

Getting started: This feature will be available by default. To use it, select any image in the Slides or Vids file > Edit image > type a custom prompt > Create. You can then preview the generated output by clicking it, and select Replace with image or Insert to add the image to the current slide.
