Softprom Achieves GitLab Select Partner Status in EMEA

News | 08.10.2026

Softprom has achieved GitLab Select Partner status in EMEA, marking a new level in its partnership with GitLab. The new status reflects the team’s consistent work on developing GitLab and DevSecOps expertise, building certified competencies, and aligning business planning with the vendor.

To achieve Select Partner status, Softprom met and exceeded a number of GitLab qualification requirements. Today, 8 Softprom specialists hold GitLab certifications and accreditations, including:

  • 6 GitLab Sales Professionals;
  • 3 specialists accredited as Solutions Architect Core;
  • 1 Professional Services Engineer (PSE).

From Licensing to Stronger DevSecOps Expertise

Developing the partnership with GitLab is part of Softprom’s broader DevSecOps strategy. The company continues to invest not only in commercial capabilities but also in the technical expertise of its team, helping partners and customers better assess GitLab capabilities and choose the most suitable platform usage scenarios.

GitLab brings key stages of the software development lifecycle together in a single DevSecOps platform, including source code management, CI/CD, automation, security, and AI capabilities. This approach helps organizations reduce tool fragmentation, automate development processes, and integrate security directly into software delivery.

“The main value of GitLab for customers is the ability to bring development, CI/CD, security, and AI capabilities together in one DevSecOps environment instead of relying on a fragmented toolchain. The PSE certification gave me a more structured understanding of the platform and how to choose a practical usage scenario based on a customer’s infrastructure and specific needs,” comments Orest Maksymiuk, Presales Engineer at Softprom.

The Technical Expertise Behind the New Status

A key step in strengthening Softprom’s GitLab competence was the Professional Services Engineer (PSE) certification, which Orest Maksymiuk successfully completed.

The PSE learning path is available to authorized GitLab partners and includes a series of technical learning modules and individual certifications. The program covers different aspects of working with the GitLab platform and helps build a broader understanding of its capabilities for professional services.

For Softprom, this certification is not only part of the partner program requirements, but also an important element in the continued development of internal GitLab technical expertise.

What GitLab Select Partner Status Means for Partners and Customers

The new status strengthens Softprom’s cooperation with GitLab and creates additional opportunities for joint projects, technical pre-sales, and DevSecOps initiatives across the company’s regions of operation.

Softprom works with partners and customers across Central and Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, and Central Asia, combining local presence with commercial support and technical expertise.
