At Google I/O 2025, Google introduced powerful updates to the Gemini platform, specifically in Deep Research features.

What’s new in Deep Research::

Deep Research can now use 2.5 Flash experimental. Gemini Advanced users continue to have access to 2.5 Pro (experimental)
Faster and more accurate processing of large data sets.
Import your materials
Upload PDFs, images, and documents directly from Google Drive to include them in your research context.
Interactive resources
Gemini will proactively suggest related resources in your report to deepen your knowledge, like interactive charts, planning simulators, and additional deep dives into relevant topics.
Canvas integration
You can also import, edit, and refine Deep Research reports directly into Canvas before exporting to Docs for further collaboration.
