Infoblox IQ: Agentic AI for Networking and Security 2026

News | 05.06.2026

Enterprises are drowning in network and security alerts while AI initiatives stall on unreliable infrastructure data. Infoblox IQ aims to fix both problems at once by turning DNS, DHCP and IPAM telemetry into agentic operations teams can actually trust.

Modern SOC and NetOps teams face thousands of daily alerts across DNS queries, DHCP leases, IP assignments and device activity. Generic AI tools lack the operational context to act on this data safely. Infoblox IQ introduces an agentic operations layer built on the authoritative DDI and asset intelligence inside the Infoblox Platform, allowing analysts to investigate, prioritize and remediate using natural language.

What was announced

On June 3, 2026, Infoblox announced Infoblox IQ together with a Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server for its security and networking solutions. Infoblox IQ includes an agentic AI assistant and agentic AI actions that let teams query network and security conditions in natural language, receive recommendations and execute configuration changes without jumping between consoles.

The Infoblox MCP Server exposes Infoblox network, security and asset intelligence to third-party AI assistants, agents and applications through an open standard interface, replacing custom integrations with a single protocol.

In one early deployment, Infoblox IQ compressed more than 504,000 operational events into just 24 prioritized actions through agentic triage. Investigations that previously required 45 to 90 minutes of manual analysis were surfaced immediately with full context.

Infoblox IQ started with a simple belief: that the data Infoblox already holds provides one of the clearest views of what is happening on an enterprise network. Infoblox IQ turns it into agentic operations teams can trust.

Why this matters

For CISOs and SOC leaders, Infoblox IQ tackles alert fatigue by automatically correlating threats, assets, users, devices and network activity into a single investigation path. For CIOs and network directors, it proactively surfaces performance, configuration and capacity issues before users are impacted, with guided remediation and a full audit trail.

For organizations pursuing autonomous IT operations, Infoblox IQ provides a critical data foundation. Because Infoblox is the authoritative source for DDI and network asset intelligence, AI models and operational agents gain access to trusted context that improves decision-making and enables more reliable automation while preserving governance and operational control.

Infoblox IQ transforms infrastructure data from a system of record into a system of action, enabling organizations to move faster, respond more effectively and unlock the full potential of AI-driven operations.
