Gartner Magic Quadrant for PAM 2025: Positions of CyberArk and Segura

Gartner has introduced a new Magic Quadrant™ report dedicated to the Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions market. These solutions are a critical component of modern cybersecurity, protecting an organization's most valuable assets from compromise. CyberArk once again holds a position in the Leaders quadrant, confirming its long-standing market dominance. Areas for Attention

The report notes that PEDM support for UNIX and Linux requires different products that do not have full feature parity. CyberArk's pricing remains in the premium segment, and the integration process following the Palo Alto Networks acquisition may introduce temporary uncertainty for some customers.

Segura: A Strong Challenger

Segura (formerly known as Senhasegura) confidently holds a position in the Challengers quadrant. The company offers a comprehensive set of solutions, including PAM Core (Software/SaaS), Endpoint Privilege Manager (Software), and DevOps Secret Manager (Software/SaaS).

Segura demonstrated the highest customer base growth among all vendors evaluated in this Magic Quadrant, indicating high confidence in its technologies.

Strengths

• High Product Effectiveness: Segura is one of the top performers in account discovery and onboarding, credential management, and their lifecycle.
• Innovative Approach: The vendor introduced Quantum Connector — a universal bridge based on quantum-resistant encryption. It is designed for secure connection to cloud, OT, IoT, and cyber-physical systems (CPS), which is a unique offering on the market.
• Dynamic Growth: The highest new customer growth rate over the past year confirms the vendor's viability and competitiveness.
• Support and Training: Customers receive three levels of support and access to free training programs.

Areas for Attention

Gartner indicates that, despite a strong core product, Segura has opportunities for growth in Just-in-Time (JIT) access and Remote Privileged Access Management (RPAM) functionality. Its pricing is above the market average, and its geographical presence is currently strongest in Latin America, although it is actively expanding in Europe and North America.
