Flare introduces Identity Exposure Management: Automated response to credential leaks
News | 05.11.2025
In the modern cybersecurity landscape, identity has become the new security perimeter. Flare, a leader in Threat Exposure Management (TEM), has announced the launch of a new solution — Identity Exposure Management (IEM). This module is designed to fundamentally change the approach to combating credential leaks, transforming it from a reactive process to a proactive and automated one.
The problem: Alert noise and manual labor
Every day, security teams face a huge stream of alerts about potential credential leaks. The problem is that most of these alerts are false positives or irrelevant. Research shows that manual verification of such incidents has a very low true-positive rate for real threats.
While analysts spend days or weeks sorting through this "noise," attackers may already be using a genuine leak to compromise the network. The response time (dwell time) becomes a critical risk factor.
The solution: Automation from detection to remediation
The new Identity Exposure Management (IEM) module from Flare solves this problem by automating the full response lifecycle: detection, validation, and threat remediation.
A key feature of the solution is its direct integration with Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD). When Flare detects a potential credential leak (e.g., on the dark web or in malware logs), the system automatically and instantly validates it against the client's Entra ID environment.
If the credentials are confirmed as active and valid, IEM can immediately initiate automated remediation actions, such as a forced password reset or session termination. This reduces the window of opportunity for attackers from weeks to seconds.
New capabilities for visibility
In addition to automation, IEM provides powerful new tools for analytics and threat contextualization. The «Identity Profiles» and «Blast Radius» features help security specialists understand exactly which assets and data are at risk in the event of a specific account compromise.
Flare is a leader in Threat Exposure Management, helping organizations proactively detect, prioritize, and remediate risks associated with data leaks on the clear and dark web.
