CrowdStrike Unveils Continuous Identity for AI Agents

News | 17.06.2026

Securing the rapidly expanding population of AI agents and non-human identities inside the enterprise.

Enterprises are deploying AI agents and automated services faster than security teams can govern them. Each agent acts with credentials, accesses sensitive data and triggers workflows — effectively becoming a new class of identity that traditional IAM tools were never designed to control. The result is a growing blind spot where compromised or misused AI agents can move laterally, escalate privileges and exfiltrate data without detection.

To close this gap, CrowdStrike introduced Continuous Identity for AI Agents, an extension of the Falcon platform that applies the same identity protection principles used for humans to AI agents and non-human identities (NHI).

What was announced

CrowdStrike unveiled Continuous Identity for AI Agents as part of its Next-Gen Identity Security portfolio. The capability delivers discovery, behavioral baselining, risk scoring and real-time enforcement for AI agents, service accounts, API keys and cloud workloads. It unifies protection for human and non-human identities in a single console, removing the operational silos that previously left AI-driven activity unmonitored.

The release expands CrowdStrike's strategy around Securing Non-Human Identities (NHI) and complements Charlotte AI, Falcon Shield for SaaS, and Falcon AIDR (AI Detection and Response) to give SOC teams a unified view across models, agents, data and prompts.

Why this matters

For CIOs, CISOs and IT procurement leaders, AI agents introduce a new category of risk that bypasses traditional controls. Non-human identities now outnumber human users in many environments, yet most enterprises lack a consistent way to authenticate, authorize and audit them. Continuous Identity for AI Agents helps security leaders:

  • Reduce attack surface: discover hidden agents and service accounts across endpoint, cloud and SaaS.
  • Enforce least privilege: apply continuous verification to every AI-driven action.
  • Accelerate SOC response: correlate agent activity with endpoint, identity and cloud telemetry.
  • Meet compliance: deliver auditable identity governance for AI workloads.

Technical details

  • Discovery: automated inventory of AI agents, service accounts, API keys and cloud workloads.
  • Behavioral analytics: baselining and anomaly detection tailored to non-human identity patterns.
  • Risk scoring: dynamic prioritization of high-risk agents based on privilege, exposure and behavior.
  • Enforcement: real-time policy controls integrated with Falcon Next-Gen Identity Security.
  • Unified telemetry: correlation with endpoint, cloud, SaaS and SIEM data through the Falcon platform.
  • Integration: works alongside Charlotte AI, Falcon AIDR and Falcon Shield.

AI agents are becoming a primary operator inside the enterprise, and they require the same continuous, identity-centric protection we built for humans
