Cloudflare acquires VoidZero to build the future of the AI-native web

Cloudflare has announced a major strategic move in the web development space — the acquisition of VoidZero, the company behind the highly popular Vite tool ecosystem for JavaScript. The VoidZero team, comprising open-source pioneers and Rust-based optimization experts led by Evan You (creator of Vue.js and Vite), joins the Emerging Technology and Incubation team at Cloudflare. The primary goal of this merger is to eliminate fragmentation and technological bottlenecks in the modern web stack, creating a seamless path from writing code on a local machine to its global deployment.
