NXLog has released NXLog Platform 1.14, introducing improved visibility into data source entitlement usage and expanding NXLog Agent support for both the latest Ubuntu LTS release and long-lived legacy systems.

Monitor Data Source Entitlements at a Glance

NXLog Platform 1.14 introduces a new entitlements usage view that provides greater transparency into how data source licenses are being consumed.

The Organization overview page now includes a dedicated summary card with a progress bar showing the number of sources currently used against the organization's entitlement. It also displays the total number of entitled, used, and available log sources.

Administrators can access a dedicated entitlements usage page for a more detailed breakdown of the collected data sources. The information is presented in a tree structure that separates:

  • Sources collected directly by NXLog Agent.
  • Sources received over the network.
  • Network sources grouped according to the NXLog module that receives them.

This provides security and IT teams with a clearer picture of current license utilization without having to manually calculate usage or contact support.

The new visibility can also simplify capacity planning. Teams can quickly determine how many additional sources can be added and identify potential overage before expanding their logging infrastructure.

Support for Ubuntu 26.04 LTS

NXLog Agent 6.15 adds support for Ubuntu 26.04 LTS (Resolute Raccoon), helping organizations maintain log visibility when upgrading their Linux infrastructure to the latest Ubuntu Long Term Support release.

The new version supports Ubuntu 26.04 LTS across multiple architectures:

  • x86_64
  • ARM64
  • ARMv7

This means organizations can upgrade supported Ubuntu systems without creating a gap in their security telemetry and centralized logging strategy.

Extending Log Collection to Legacy RHEL 5 and CentOS 5 Systems
