Google has announced an update for Google Sheets that tackles one of the most time-consuming tasks — manual data entry and formatting. With the built-in Gemini AI, users can now paste a block of unformatted text and convert it into an organized table with a single click.
How it Works When pasting text from an external source (such as an email, messenger, or document) that lacks a clear tabular format, a "Convert to table" button appears next to the cell. Gemini analyzes the context, recognizes headers and data types, and automatically distributes the information into the appropriate columns.

- Processing Invoices and Statements: When data from a PDF or banking app is copied as a single string of text.
- Handling Feedback: Importing customer feedback from chats or support logs for further analysis.

Availability and Security
The feature is being rolled out to Google Workspace Business, Enterprise, and Education subscribers using the Gemini add-on. Data is processed within your organization's secure environment and is not used to train public models.
