CrowdStrike Outage. Armis is extending its support to help affected customers

News | 22.07.2024

In response to the CrowdStrike Windows outage (morning 19/07/2024), Armis is extending its support to help affected customers return to normal operations swiftly. Armis offers a series of actionable steps to identify, prioritize, and mitigate the impact on affected assets.

Detailed guidance can be found here.

CrowdStrike has identified that the Windows outage resulted from a defect in a single content update, affecting numerous IT systems globally. While this issue does not impact Mac and Linux hosts and is not a security incident or cyberattack, organizations worldwide require manual intervention to resolve the looping Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) on Windows machines.

With CrowdStrike quickly issuing a fix, Armis Centrix™ for VIPR – Prioritization and Remediation is remediating affected devices based on asset criticality to their organizations. It can help impacted entities to resolve related challenges.

Armis is here to help streamline your Customer’s return to normal operations by:

  • Identifying affected systems using specialized queries to find critical assets that need immediate recovery.
  • Compiling switch and port information to generate a comprehensive list of assets requiring remediation.
  • Locating shadow IT within organizations by monitoring connections to unavailable services and generating a list of these hidden assets for manual resolution.
