What was announced
Cloudflare has introduced isitagentready.com — a free, publicly accessible tool that scores any website on its readiness for AI agents. The tool evaluates sites across four scored dimensions and provides actionable remediation prompts that can be passed directly to a coding agent for implementation. Alongside the tool, Cloudflare has added an Agent Readiness tab to its URL Scanner and published a new dataset on Cloudflare Radar tracking adoption of AI agent standards across the Internet, updated weekly.
Cloudflare also overhauled its own Developer Documentation at developers.cloudflare.com, achieving benchmark results of 31% fewer tokens consumed and 66% faster correct answers compared to the average unoptimized documentation site, as measured using the Kimi-k2.5 model via OpenCode.

Technical details
The Agent Readiness score evaluates websites across four primary dimensions:
- Discoverability: Checks for robots.txt (RFC 9309), sitemap.xml, and Link Headers (RFC 8288) so agents can locate and map site content without full HTML parsing.
- Content accessibility: Validates Markdown content negotiation — when a server responds to Accept: text/markdown headers with clean Markdown instead of HTML, reducing token consumption by up to 80%.
- Bot Access Control: Evaluates Content Signals directives in robots.txt (enabling granular AI usage declarations: ai-train, ai-input, search), AI bot rules, and Web Bot Auth IETF draft standard for cryptographic bot identity verification.
- Capabilities: Checks for Agent Skills index at .well-known/agent-skills/index.json, API Catalog (RFC 9727) at .well-known/api-catalog, MCP Server Card at .well-known/mcp/server-card.json, WebMCP, and OAuth server discovery via RFC 8414 and RFC 9728.
- Commerce (informational): Checks for x402 (HTTP 402 Payment Required revival), Universal Commerce Protocol, and Agentic Commerce Protocol — not yet scored but tracked.
- URL Scanner integration: The same checks are now available programmatically via the Cloudflare URL Scanner API by passing the agentReadiness option in scan requests.
- Cloudflare Docs optimization techniques: URL fallbacks via /index.md without static file duplication, hierarchical llms.txt files per product directory, hidden LLM directives stripped from Markdown versions, and AI training crawler redirects away from deprecated content.
Only 78% of the top 200,000 sites have robots.txt — and most are written for traditional crawlers, not AI agents. MCP Server Cards and API Catalogs together appear on fewer than 15 sites globally.
